Our story
More than a studio — a second home.
Danctastics has spent more than thirty years bringing quality dance instruction and choreography to Southwest Arkansas. We have grown into a studio family that has trained countless regional winners and national title holders.
Our dancers have performed on some of the biggest stages there are — including six years of appearances in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. But ask anyone here and they’ll tell you the real magic is closer to home.
We’re committed to a fun and safe environment, with positive, encouraging attitudes for every one of our dancers.

Good to know
Our policies, made simple.
Everything families need to know about life at the studio. Tap any topic to read the full details.
At the end of every year there is a recital production. The dance year begins in the month of August and ends in the month of April. Our recital is held on a day determined during the dance year. The week before the recital, your dancer will have a stage practice, to prepare them for their performance. His or her absence is detrimental to the entire group due to spacing.
There is a recital fee per student that participates in the year end recital on stage. The price has not been decided yet, and will be announced during the dance year. This fee includes a recital t-shirt, as well as two recital tickets and a program book.
Recital is a time for your dancer to look and feel their best, as well as showcase their dances which they work so hard on during the dance year.
All costumes must be paid for in full before they can be ordered, so that they arrive in plenty of time for alterations or exchanges. The date costume payment is due will be announced after the start of the season. We do offer fundraisers each year that aid in offsetting expenses for our dance families. Many pay for their costumes in full by participating in the fundraisers.
Costumes are picked out by the instructors, and will be available for parents to approve. All props will be ordered and paid for in full at this time as well (Parasols, poms, fans, etc.).
We cannot stress enough that costumes will not be ordered unless they are paid in full.
Danctastics Dance Studio will be closed during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break - following the public school year schedule. We will send out notes, as well as update our website as to what dates these breaks will be. There are additional dates in which we will be closed; holidays, etc, and we will always let you know ahead of time.
If there ever is an unforeseen emergency or dangerous weather, we will cancel classes and offer a makeup class at a later date.
We appreciate in advance your understanding when it comes to decisions on class placements. Our goal for each dancer is to place them in a class that is the best fit for them. The decision not to participate in an optional dance activity will never affect your dancer's placement in a class.
We are often invited to dance at local events such as: Train Day, The Jonquil Festival, & The Prescott Fall Festival. This varies year to year. We are also in the Prescott and Hope Christmas parades every year. We are always looking for more opportunities to perform and showcase your dancer's hard work and talent.
For years we have been involved in participating in the Macy's Day Parade in New York City, over Thanksgiving break. If your dancer is 14 years of age or older, (the qualifying age for the NYC performance), and you are interested in participating - please let us know when you register for the dance year.
If your dancer is interested in private lessons, please let us know by telling your instructor, or by email or phone. The days practices are held will vary, and are based on instructor availability. Private lessons are $25.00 per 30 minute lesson.
There is no adjustment on tuition for classes missed by the student. We do offer makeup private classes, and are happy to work with your schedule to the best of our ability. If a student misses three classes in a row, it may be suggested by the school for that dancer to sign up for a few private lessons that will aide the dancer in keeping up with the other students in their class. The cost for these lessons is the same as it is for any other private lesson.
We do ask that each of our dancer's parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, etc. not be in the classroom with the dancer during the class time frame. This is out of respect for not only your dancer, (due to distractions), but for all other dancers in that class and the instructors teaching that class.
We do have a lobby where we encourage parents to wait, and you are welcome to watch your dancer through the lobby window.
We do not require you to stay out of the classroom, however, we encourage you to allow your dancer to take full advantage of their class time. When one parent is inside the classroom during class time, others begin to enter as well, and suddenly we have a room full of parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends - and less room to dance!
We make it a point to honor our 5, 10, and 15 year students. We are so proud of all of their hard work and dedication. We congratulate these students with a trophy awarded to them at the beginning of the recital each year. All of the dancer's years must be with Danctastics Dance Studio. A qualifying year is a fully completed year.
